It works by transforming sitting into an activity that improves your health, instead of just damaging it.

Well, a new Kickstarter funded project, the SitTight balance chair, was created with just that in mind. It works by transforming sitting into an activity that improves your health, instead of just damaging it.
One of the key components to reversing the effects of sitting can be found in the body’s natural ability to balance. Most fitness experts have learned that balancing while exercising increases the desired results of working out. Balancing has been proven to cause an increase in heart rate from the activation of core muscles and even promoting better posture. You can also expect an increase in brain activity as the central nervous system controls those muscles and you have a sensation similar to riding a bicycle.
The creators of SitTight chair believe that their product delivers on the fundamental 3-F’s: “Fitness for your body, Focus for your mind and Fun for your spirit.” For most, you will actually have to build up your core fitness and balance to fully gain from SitTight. For beginners, you’ll need to start with your feet on the ground and then, in small increments, move your feet onto the base to begin in “Balance Active Sitting.”
